At Stable Minds, we provide private psychotherapy and specialized therapeutic experiences for high-achieving adults navigating burnout, life transitions, trauma, relationships, and the hidden cost of carrying too much for too long.
Our work is designed for professionals, leaders, caregivers, and helpers who may appear successful on the outside while recognizing that achievement alone is not creating the life they want.
This is not one-size-fits-all therapy. Each therapeutic experience is thoughtfully tailored to the individual, drawing from evidence-based psychotherapy, trauma-informed care, performance psychology, and resilience research. When appropriate, therapy may also incorporate equine-assisted or nature-based therapeutic experiences.
We don't simply focus on helping you function better. We help you understand what is driving the way you function—and create space for something different.

Dr. Heidi Augsburger, PhD, LMHC, specializes in helping high-functioning adults move beyond survival mode and reconnect with what matters most.
As a licensed mental health counselor, educator, researcher, and therapist, Heidi brings together clinical experience with advanced training in trauma treatment, resilience, performance psychology, and equine-assisted therapeutic work.
Her approach is thoughtful, personalized, and grounded in the belief that meaningful therapeutic work goes beyond managing symptoms. Together, you’ll explore the patterns, relationships, experiences, and beliefs that may be shaping how you function—and what it might take to create meaningful change.
Clients often seek her out when traditional approaches have helped them function, but they’re ready to understand themselves more deeply and move forward with greater clarity, connection, and intention.
Why Stable Minds Is Different
Many therapy practices focus primarily on reducing symptoms.
At Stable Minds, we look deeper.
Our work is designed for people who are functioning on the outside while carrying more internally than others may realize. We explore the patterns, relationships, experiences, and beliefs that shape how you move through the world—not simply the symptoms that brought you to therapy.
Therapy is intentionally personalized, relationship-centered, and grounded in psychological science. Rather than fitting your life into a standard therapy model, we build the therapeutic experience around your goals, needs, and pace.
Depending on your needs, your work may include:
You don't have to fit neatly into a diagnosis, a treatment template, or a one-size-fits-all approach.
Your life is complex. Your therapy should be thoughtful enough to meet you there.
