🌿 Stable Minds – Self-Pay Therapy FAQ

Please reach us at heidiaugsburger@yahoo.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Stable Minds provides licensed therapy, not coaching. While we focus on performance, growth, and resilience, all sessions are delivered by a licensed therapist within the ethical and legal scope of clinical practice.

No. Stable Minds is a self-pay therapy practice. We do not bill insurance or provide diagnostic codes. This allows us to focus on your goals without medical labels or constraints.

Because we don’t bill insurance, a diagnosis is not required or assigned. This keeps your therapy experience more confidential and growth-oriented.

– Professionals experiencing burnout
– High achievers seeking better balance
– Individuals navigating major life transitions
– College students needing flexible, reduced-cost therapy
– Anyone who prefers a private, self-directed approach to wellness

Yes — walk-and-talk therapy is currently available and offered at various nature-based locations. It's a great option for those who find movement and the outdoors support deeper reflection and calm.
Equine-assisted therapy is coming soon as we prepare to open our new location — stay tuned for updates!

Session fees range from $175 to $250, depending on session length and type. Reduced rates are available for enrolled college students.

While Stable Minds provides licensed therapy, it is not designed to address all clinical needs. This practice is not a good fit for individuals who:

  • Require ongoing treatment for major mental health diagnoses (e.g., schizophrenia, bipolar I, severe depression with suicidality)
  • Are in active crisis or need emergency or inpatient care
  • Require insurance reimbursement or documentation for disability, court, or work-related claims
  • Need medication management or psychiatric care
  • Require formal diagnostic evaluations for legal, educational, or medical purposes

At Stable Minds, therapy is focused on building resilience, clarity, and personal well-being — not on treating severe pathology. If a higher level of care is needed, we’re happy to provide referrals to trusted providers.
